DIRECTORATE OF POLITICAL & DIPLOMATIC AFFAIRS - Mr. Karwan Zebari
As part of the KRG’s commitment to maintaining and deepening its relationship with the United States, the Director of Political & Diplomatic Affairs provides the most comprehensive perspective of the Region, its people, and its position within Iraq. The Directorate’s priorities include building on the special relationship that exists between the Kurdistan Region and the United States through sustained dialogue and cooperation with various U.S. government department and entities. As a part of this mission, we work to arrange delegations of KRG officials to meet with their U.S. counterparts. DIRECTORATE OF COMMUNITY & CULTURAL AFFAIRS - Mr. Najat Abdullah
The Director of Community & Culture provides Americans a window into the spectacular culture, heritage and history of Iraqi Kurdistan. By promoting the culture of Kurdistan, we aim to show our friends in the United States that there is more than just politics when it comes to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The Directorate also deals with community focus groups in areas such as Nashville, San Diego and Dallas. Our community efforts are a vital element of our day-to-day work. DIRECTORATE OF CONGRESSIONAL & ACADEMIC AFFAIRS - Ms. Remziya Suleyman
The Director of Congressional & Academic Affairs works closely with the U.S. Administration, Congress, business people, students, academic experts, the media, think tank scholars, and many others to provide updates on the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The Directorate also offers guidance for those planning to visit or work in the area and information on relations with the Kurdistan Region. DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS - Mr. Alex Ebsary
The Director of Public Affairs initiates, develops and coordinate public relations and communication for the KRG Representation, KRG officials, Kurdish dignitaries and other officials from Kurdistan Region. The Directorate facilitates for the KRG relations with relevant professionals in the wider communications community. DIRECTORATE OF MINORITY OUTREACH - Mr. Dasko Shirwani
The Director of Outreach serves as a resource center for all those from the Kurdistan Region and their families who live across the U.S. Our outreach also aims to build good relationships and closer contact between the peoples of Kurdistan Region and the U.S. The Directorate is also responsible in building and sustaining effective communication between KRG-US and other national and religious minorities of Kurdistan Region in the U.S. For additional information, please email.
